Wedding Videos

Recently finished editing two separate wedding videos which can be found below and under the wedding tab.  I'm pleased with how they turned out and am looking forward to working on more in the future.

One Last Roll?

At this point my blog updates seem to have taken a theme of lost roll discoveries.  I've basically adapted a gimmick on accident that I never intended for, but this one came out of nowhere.  As in, I had no idea this roll even existed.  These were shot with the old Canon FtB, on Fuji 400 ISO color film.  I still like the fuji film look, but I can't help but wish I had shot some of these with Kodak's Ektar film.  Oh well, enjoy these brief selections from my trip to Milwaukee and Louisville.

Another Round of Oldies

Here's the last of my b/w rolls from the beginning of the year.  I'll mostly be sticking to color from now on, because that's just what I want to do, you know?  All shot with Kodak's 100 ISO B/W film, on my Canon AE-1 with a 50mm lens.  Some selections from an abandoned house, snowpocalypse, and a friend's indie go go film shoot.

Indie Go Go Campaign Launched!

Recently wrote, directed, edited, and acted in the promo video for my campaign to fund my new short film "Independence Daze".

I'm so happy with the script, and I'm incredibly excited to begin production on it.  It will be my last big project before I graduate, and I want to make it the best it can be.

You can donate to the film at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/independence-daze/x/6046386

Also feel free to share it with friends and family, as that would be a major help!

Outtakes and Miscellanous Delights

Just a batch of some random photos I took around Christmas time with the new camera.  All shot on 100 ISO Kodak Film with a Canon AE-1.

New Year

Celebrated the new year the only way we know how:  waking up at 2 in the morning and driving 3 hours to catch the sunrise at the Garden of the Gods in the Shawnee National Forest.  We also stopped by a very photogenic abandoned house on the way home.  All taken with 100 ISO Ektar film from Kodak and a Canon AE-1.

Christmas 2013

Testing out the new camera and lens from my lovely girlfriend for Christmas.  Also my first time using Kodak's 100 ISO Ektar Film.  Fancy stuff, liking the colors and sharpness of the shots.

Photo II Portfolio

The semester is almost over, which means it's time to pick the shots I'm most proud of from the semester to submit for my Photo II Portfolio.  Here is a sample of those very shots.  All taken with 100-400 ISO 35mm Kodak Film on a Canon FTb.

Portraits

Practicing my portrait taking skills.  The scans don't do the prints justice, but they're turning out nicely.

Visiting Eckert's Farm

Went to Eckert's farm with the lady last month and walked away with an enormous pumpkin that we never got around to carving.  Oh well!  Good times regardless.  Captured it on 35mm color film.

Low Weather Music Video

Made a music video for the band Low Weather recently.  It was a last minute thing, and I was under a really tight schedule, but I'm still happy with how it turned out.  Shot it with a Canon Rebel T3i and edited it with Premiere Pro CS6.  I've been very into this sort of saturated psychedelic look, but this will probably be the last video of mine to feature it so heavily.

November 1st, 2013: Site Launch!

Welcome to the launch of my own personal shiny brand new website!  It is still in it's developing phases, and therefore will be continuously updated over time.  I will continue to add any new projects and photography, and to show older works as well.  If you have any questions or would like to contact me in general for any reason whatsoever, you can reach me at sbaiamonte@gmail.com.

Speaking of older works, I recently borrowed a friend's negative scanner and decided to check out some old negatives of mine that I had never printed before.  I'll be sure to post those soon.
